Job Description

SQL Database Lead (GCP & On-Prem) 

Antwerp/Ghent region
6 month contract
€500 per day 

Hybrid working

 

Immediate requirement for contractor to take responsibility for the design, development and maintenance of MS SQL & MySQL databases and to lead a team of DBAs and developers.

 

You need to have strong experience of the 

 

  • design, implementation, and maintenance of database structures, including table schemas, indexes, and stored procedures, following best practices. You will ensure 

  • data integrity, security, and performance optimizations.

  • expertise in optimizing SQL Server databases for performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and query performance issues.

  • strong knowledge of implementing and managing high availability solutions such as SQL Server AlwaysOn, mirroring, clustering, and backup/restore strategies 

  • maintaining database backup and recovery strategies.

  • enforcing the database security policies, managing user access, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.

  • GCP and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience
