Kafka Streaming Specialist Snowflake Implementation.

£550-650 per day.

London. Remote Work.

Outside IR35

Months from Launch.  Build the Data Engine.  Snowflake & Kafka.

This isn’t a maintenance role. This is a “build the plane while flying” role.

A brand new Snowflake implementation. This is what makes this role exciting. You’re not fixing someone else’s work. You’re not fixing someone else’s work or messing with poor legacy code. This is build from scratch.

I need an experienced Snowflake Data  Engineer for the next key stage in this business’s development.

For take off, you’ll need to be capable of building a production-ready Snowflake warehouse from nothing. This isn’t a role for someone who will sit in meetings for 6 months discussing theory before filing a plan. This is for a builder, who can act now, and land this project on time. There is no runway available for delays.

And the primary challenge is to keep an eye on Snowflake credits and keep costs under control. With real-time streaming pipelines processing high volumes of events you need to avoid costs spinning out of control. But not everything needs to be low latency and part of the role will be to identify and segment what can be batch processed. The correct mentality here is to treat those Snowflake credits as if they were your own cash.

If you’ve got strong Snowflake implementation (as opposed to user) experience and dbt, kafka streaming, AWS Lambda then I’m keen to have a conversation.

** Immediate start needed

Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake

UK Remote

Retail & Consumer Data

up to £80,000 plus benefits

Been in the data game a while? You’ve probably seen it all. The "ground-breaking" projects that get shelved, the brilliant solutions that politics get in the way of, the endless commute to sit on Teams calls anyway.

It’s enough to make you wonder where the real challenges are.

Well, we’re looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer who is ready for that next-level challenge, but on their own terms.

We are working with a specialist data consultancy that partners exclusively with big names in the retail and consumer space. They need a senior engineer to come in and take the lead on client projects, completely remotely.

This is a role for someone who is past the hand-holding stage of their career. The leadership function are there if you need them, but not if you don’t!

You’ll be the one designing the architecture, alongside an architect, and making the data engineer technical decisions that matter. The leadership here believes in hiring experts and then letting them be experts.

You won't be bored. The data you'll be working with is vast, complex, and messy in all the most interesting ways. Think nationwide customer data, intricate supply chains, and real-time sales analytics. The kind of stuff you can really get your teeth into.

And the best part? Your work gets used. The brands they partner with are fast-moving and data-hungry. They don't just want reports; they want transformation.

What you'll need to bring to the table:

  • Solid, hands-on Snowflake expertise as a Data Engineer.

  • A love for solving problems

  • SQL and Python.

  • Experience in more than one environment as a Data Engineer

  • The ability to see the bigger picture and lead a project from a technical standpoint.

  • Learning attitude and excitement at what’s new from Snowflake

  • Any background in retail or consumer data would put you at the top of the list.

This is a fully remote role within the UK.
