Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake

UK Remote

Retail & Consumer Data

up to £80,000 plus benefits

Been in the data game a while? You’ve probably seen it all. The "ground-breaking" projects that get shelved, the brilliant solutions that politics get in the way of, the endless commute to sit on Teams calls anyway.

It’s enough to make you wonder where the real challenges are.

Well, we’re looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer who is ready for that next-level challenge, but on their own terms.

We are working with a specialist data consultancy that partners exclusively with big names in the retail and consumer space. They need a senior engineer to come in and take the lead on client projects, completely remotely.

This is a role for someone who is past the hand-holding stage of their career. The leadership function are there if you need them, but not if you don’t!

You’ll be the one designing the architecture, alongside an architect, and making the data engineer technical decisions that matter. The leadership here believes in hiring experts and then letting them be experts.

You won't be bored. The data you'll be working with is vast, complex, and messy in all the most interesting ways. Think nationwide customer data, intricate supply chains, and real-time sales analytics. The kind of stuff you can really get your teeth into.

And the best part? Your work gets used. The brands they partner with are fast-moving and data-hungry. They don't just want reports; they want transformation.

What you'll need to bring to the table:

  • Solid, hands-on Snowflake expertise as a Data Engineer.

  • A love for solving problems

  • SQL and Python.

  • Experience in more than one environment as a Data Engineer

  • The ability to see the bigger picture and lead a project from a technical standpoint.

  • Learning attitude and excitement at what’s new from Snowflake

  • Any background in retail or consumer data would put you at the top of the list.

This is a fully remote role within the UK.
